At-Home Gourmet Café
parmoi:
You should know by now that my favorite coffee drink is a Skinny Vanilla Latte. It’s delicious and now instead of spending $3.26 each time I crave it, which is quite often, I can make it at home in a few minutes.
I picked up some Torani Sugar Free Vanilla Syrup at World Market the other day and am so pleased with it. You only need a teaspoon or so for divine vanilla flavor. I’ve been...

Beware of Salads
Just because you are ordering a salad does NOT mean you are being healthy! Always look for nutrition facts, and if they arent available, at least be wise about the toppings you select. Here it goes, America’s Worst Salad:
California Pizza Kitchen’s Thai Crunch Salad
2,115 calories (We’ll assume 43-44 pts)

How to keep it off!
the great part about weight watchers is it teaches you HOW to keep it off. the bad part about jenny craig is it doesnt teach you how to eat in a real life situation. I started weight watchers seriously on Jan 1, 2009 and by June had lost 28 lbs. the past 2 months I have been sort of at a plateau… and by plateau i mean not really giving it my all. but i know that dieting with weight watchers...
keeping the weight off...
ok i’m admitting it here because this is a blog about losing weight and being healthy…the way i lost my 15ish pounds of chunk over the last few months was through jenny craig. at first, the pounds literally started falling off of my body and it was amazing encouragement to keep going. but now, after 7 months of frozen food (yes, 7 months), i’m beyond sick of microwaving things...
Weigh In Day?
I have always weighed in on Wednesday mornings. However, I think I am going to change to Friday mornings. That way, I’ll have had alll week to be really good (weekends are my worst with drinking and all…) and also will not use flex points during the week. When do y’all weigh in?
Ohh, you mean we're supposed to follow the...
Jess and I went to a meeting tonight (we both lost!) and found out two things:
1. Adding fiber powder to liquid things does not diminish their point value.
2. You really should eat everything suggested by the good health guidelines daily. (Ex. 2-3 servings of dairy, 5+ of fruits and veggies, etc.) I thought they were just suggestions, but our leader said they’re the best way to ensure that...
Workout/Meeting
I missed my meeting yesterday, and I am pretty mad because I heard it was about breaking through a plateau… which is EXACTLY what I need right now! What did they talk about in y’alls meetings? On the bright side… I have worked out every day this week!
Also… here are some websites that always help me with WW stuff… I use them all the time:

Clever Cocktail Ideas
parmoi:
As you probably know, some of the cocktails we drink (margaritas, mojitos, long islands, etc) are really pretty terrible for us - high in calories and sugar - bad news. Here’s a healther alternative if it’s just one of those days and you needa drink.
Take a shot of your favorite flavored vodka (mine is Three Olives Pomegranate or Grape), add some club soda, a splash of lime and you’ll...
